Story Time As Pendana Children Head Back to School

We always look forward to story time and being able to connect with kids and parents in the neighborhood. This month we had a teacher, Mrs. Jinelle, come and read some of her favorite books to the kids. It was also exciting since she used to teach at Orange Center Elementary and was amazed by the transformation of the neighborhood!

Mrs. Jinelle did a great job of engaging the kids and asking them questions throughout the story and after. She also engaged the kids in critical thinking by asking what similar concepts the books shared and also which books were realistic stories versus fictional.

We were able to share about MVP Families with a parent who attended. She was very excited about all the opportunities that are available right around the neighborhood.
