Icees Beat the Heat at Pendana at West Lakes

It was the perfect HOT day for icees by the playground! The sweet cool treat hit the spot for residents. We had traditional flavors like lemon and strawberry but also fun flavors like sour apple and raspberry-lemon. Numerous people came back for seconds (and not just the kids!).

We were excited that despite the heat and humidity that residents stayed to fellowship and hang out. We set up a beach ball water sprinkler to help the kids stay cool. One of our younger residents, Chase, had a blast running around in the water. We had some regular event attendees stay the whole event and even offer to help us tear down. Another younger resident, Sean, rode his hoverboard while he helped us load and unload supplies. They were excitingly asking us what events we had planned next month and what they could do help out.

We are so appreciative to call this community home!
