Back to School Bash at Pendana at West Lakes
Pendana at West Lakes saw its largest turnout at an event so far with more than 120 residents and 15 volunteers in attendance! We were able to give approximately 80 backpacks full of school supplies to children who start the new year on Monday. All of the school-age kids in attendance received a backpack with school supplies.

One highlight included a child who brought face paint to paint other children’s faces as she’s been learning how to paint faces this summer. Another was when we ran out of dessert and a resident walked up to the event with a huge pan of homemade banana pudding. Lastly, we had a 13-year-old boy say he wanted to man the grill because he has been going to a cooking camp this summer. One resident, Ashley, said she had never been a part of a community that was so involved. So excited to see provision happening and to play a small part in this community!
We are so grateful to all the various partnerships who donated to invest in our kids’ success this school year. To say it was a success and so much fun would be an understatement.
